Looking through my closet...
I was looking through my closet the other day and I stumbled across some presents I received on Christmas 2012. One of the things I found that I remember getting from my dad was an old journal that was my grampa's. I thought that was pretty cool...

I am a person, too, so please don't bash me!
What is wrong with not liking Harry Potter? Nothing! Absolutely nothing. So why am I, and other people, getting bashed for not liking the books? I have no idea. To get an idea of what some Harry Potter fans are saying about people like me, I'll post some things that some have said over the Internet (spelling/grammar mistakes included):
"Its because they havr no imagination and are jealous that we can love harry potter so much without feeling liek idiots."
"Why do moronic fans of other fantasy stories insist that Harry Potter sucks? There can be more than one good story in the world, jackasses. Yes, I agree with you that Lord of the Rings is better. But who cares?

Harry Potter
is not only “a good story,” but it will become great literature, contrary to
what most jackasses would imply. I think
people often say that Harry Potter isn’t great literature because it is a
contemporary work, and people are too stupid to realize that all great
literature has to be written at some point.
Just because all the great literature now is from a long time ago
doesn’t mean that we as a race have lost the ability to create great
literature. It’s just a necessity that
no contemporary works be considered great literature yet; they have to
withstand the test of time.
It is not
only a brilliant story that reuses the themes in classic mythologies, but it
offers new insight into those themes and uses them to create a fun and original
story all its own. In short, Harry
Potter rules.
Actually, the other day, I had a chance to sit down with a
Harry Potter hater. Man, what a [beep] he was!
Me: Man, you’re
stupid.
Generic_HP_Hater: NO
I’M NOT! YOU’VE BEEN BRAINWASHED BY
HARRY POTTER!
Me: You do realize
that Harry Potter isn’t anything more than it seems to be, right? It’s not some plot to take over the world,
it’s just a really awesome story.
Generic_HP_Hater:
Lord of the Rings is better.
Me: So? That doesn’t prove anything. Stuff can be great and still have other stuff
be better than it.
Generic_HP_Hater:
Yeah. But Harry Potter sucks.
Me: Why?
Generic_HP_Hater:
Because it does. It’s annoying.
Me: What’s annoying
about it?
Generic_HP_Hater:
It’s not well-written.
Me: What are you
TALKING about? Harry Potter is written
extremely well. Better, in fact, than
all of the other fantasy series currently being written. It rules.
Generic_HP_Hater: No
it doesn’t. It sucks.
Me: Why do you like
Lord of the Rings and not Harry Potter? They
are extremely similar, and have similar themes.
Generic_HP_Hater: No,
because Lord of the Rings is awesome, and Harry Potter has all that stupid
magic [beep].
Me: Man, you’re
REALLY stupid. Magic is a plot device,
but the story isn’t really about magic.
It’s really about the same thing that LOTR is about; fighting a great
evil power when you’re only little.
There are a bazillion other parallels I could draw but I wouldn’t want
to yack at you for hours.
Generic_HP_Hater:
Harry Potter sucks.
Me: *sigh* Don’t you just hate it when you have all the
points on your side and somehow the other idiot manages to cling onto their
stupid and wrong point of view?
Generic_HP_Hater:
Yeah, man, I hate that.
Me: What a [beep]."
See? I'm not saying that all Harry Potter fans are like this, but at least 25% are. I admit, about 25% non-Harry Potter people are probably rude. Every little group has its fault, but I'm not going to ramble about that. I just want to know why some people are like this. So, if you want you can write you opinion in the comments below. I'M SORRY IF I OFFENDED ANYONE.
Happy Birthday, Blue Four Ocean!
Happy birthday, B4O!
Today, Blue Four Ocean turns *eight*! Isn't that exciting? I am eleven years old, so that means I've had her roughly since I was about three to four years old. Wow! That's a long time!
Comment below to wish Blue Four Ocean a happy eighth year and I'll get back to you with an interview with my father.
